I believe in the power of education to transform lives. As a single parent, I understand how a quality education can change the trajectory of a family. My goal is to ensure that EVERY child within the district is empowered to ENGAGE, EXPLORE, and EXCEL regardless of where they reside, who their parents are, their ethnic background, what religious group they belong to, or what they show up to school knowing.

 

Professionally, I am an educator and former Crowley ISD teacher. During my educational career, I have served as a project coordinator, an academic liaison, math department chair, math coach, named 2010 Campus Teacher of the Year, and I am currently a data analyst.

 

In addition to being an educator, I am an active community member, I left teaching briefly to focus on policy and public administration. I also served on several boards and committees that were focused on improving the lives of children and their families.
